The NCFE Level 3 Certificate in Understanding Autism is designed for learners who want to develop a deep, up-to-date understanding ofautism and how to support autistic individuals effectively. Autism is described by the National Autistic Society as a complex, lifelong developmental condition that can influence social communication, relationships and self-regulation. This qualification explores the diverse experiences of autistic people, recognising that individual preferemces for terminolog and identity should always be respected. Through this course, you will build strong knowledge of key areas incluuding positive approaches to support, communication differences, safeguarding responsibilities and the legal and theoretical frameworks shaping autism practice today. You will also explore transitions, co-occurring conditions and the range of therapeutic interventions that may be available.
